Admission Policy

At CJ’s Little Pickles we can provide childcare for 21 children from 0-5 years. The numbers and ages of children admitted to the nursery comply with the legal space requirements set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
We operate a fully inclusive service to the local community with a commitment to the Code of Practise and guide our practise on the acronym SHINE which means all children will be in a Safe, Happy, Inclusive, Nurturing Environment.
All Practitioners:
value and respect each child as an individual;
be aware of, and safeguard, the rights of all children;
facilitate and promote the growth and development of the whole child; and
be aware of, and endeavour to meet the needs of, each child for whom they are professionally responsible.
Opening days and hours:
CJ’s Little Pickles is open Monday to Friday 7:30-5:00pm for 50 weeks of the year. We offer term time and all year contracts. Children are required to attend a minimum of two days per week for at least 7 hours per day, however this can be flexible according to each family’s needs.
Funded childcare:

Funded childcare and any additional hours will be invoiced so every parent has a record of their hours and fees, we use the early year’s platform ‘Famly’ for this and it’s free for parents to access via an app.
Admission procedures:
All families are welcome to book a viewing at a time that is suitable to come and look around our lovely setting, meet the staff and ask as many questions as you wish too. We are proud of our provision and feel it’s important you come and see what CJ’s Little Pickles is all about. If you would like a place for your child then we will take note of the days and hours you require and book in an additional time for you to return to the setting to complete necessary paperwork such as contracts, permission forms, discuss settling in policy, all about me forms, children’s likes/dislikes, needs etc. All families will be required to pay a £100 to secure the place; this will be refunded back to you once your child has started at the setting. This is an ideal time to share information so we can to know your child as much as possible before they start at our setting.
